The Lynch-Staunton family has been ranching in the Pincher Creek and North Fork (Oldman River) district of South West Alberta since 1885.  Our land is primarily native grass in the foothills of the Livingstone Range.  We continue to produce rigourously tested seedstock bulls and cows for our customers. Our overall breeding goal is to produce low maintenance cattle that require minimal winter feeding.  We want cattle that you don't have to touch.  

Our primary selection criterion is fertility.  In our breeding program, we also incorporate a multi trait selection index that includes calving ease, mothering ability, weaning weight, growth, feed efficiency, carcass weight, and carcass quality. These particular cows spent the summer in the Gap Forestry Allotment which is part of the tributaries that feed the Oldman River.
