Bob Westrop† was a city boy who grew up in Calgary, AB. Since grade 7, his goal was to have a mixed cow/farm operation of his own. This started to happen in 1966 when he graduated from universoty with his animal science degree. Throughout his life, Bob was always looking to increase his knowledge and strived to raised good quality cattle! Part of this desire for knowledge led him to study linear measurements.
Bob loved his cows and called them his girls. His home was their home, and they became part of the family! They recieved his best care! These are the last and best of his herd. He sorted these cows off last year when downsizing, and he kept these as his retirement herd.
This is a great, honest set of hard working cows ready to go from a reputation outfit!

Antelope Butte Ranch
The Lynch-Staunton family has been ranching in the Pincher Creek and North Fork
(Oldman River) district of South West Alberta since 1885. Our land is primarily native
grass in the foothills of the Livingstone Range.
In addition to raising beef cattle, we have been breeding Beefbooster M1 bulls since 1984.
Our overall breeding goal is to produce low maintenance cattle that require minimal
winter feeding and attention.
We want cattle that you don't have to touch. Our primary selection criterion is fertility.
In our breeding program, we also incorporate a multi trait selection index that includes calving ease, mothering ability, weaning weight, growth, and carcass weight.
These particular cows spent the summer in the Gap Forestry Allotment which is part of
the tributaries that feed the Oldman River.
